Call for Special Issue Proposals

Archeologické rozhledy invites scholars to submit proposals for guest editing a special issue. We seek dynamic individuals who can propose an engaging theme for the special issue and curate a collection of high-quality papers that contribute significantly to Central European archaeology and that are in accordance with the aims and scope of the journal.

 

Prospective guest editors are invited to submit a proposal that includes:

• special issue title
• rationale and significance of the proposed issue theme (approx. 300 words)
• list of individual papers and their abstracts (if papers are already in preparation)

The proposal will be assessed by the journal editorial board. The board shall elect one of its members to act as an advisor to the guest editor.

When just the theme of the special issue is proposed and no specific papers are currently available, the editorial team is able to promote the call for papers via the journal website and social media. Note that after the papers are collected, they will be subject to standard peer-review procedure including the editorial board assessment.

The guest editor will be responsible for coordinating the peer-review process, collaborating with authors to ensure high-quality contributions, and providing editorial oversight for the entire special issue.
